Sustainability

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact through key initiatives, innovative technologies and strategic goals, and are proud to be certified as carbon neutral.

What makes us unique

Our road map to a sustainable future

The beginning of a greener journey

In 2019, we embarked on a journey to measure and reduce our carbon footprint, ready to fulfil our promise of a greener future.

Carbon neutral certification

In 2020, we purchased carbon offsets to neutralise our 2019 carbon footprint, which cleared the path for us to achieve Carbon Neutral Fulfilment Company certification from Carbon Trust.

Reduction in carbon emissions

SCB assessed our carbon emissions and documented a substantial reduction, from 349 tCO2e in 2019 to 271 tCO2e in 2023.

Eco-friendly measures

We implemented measures to reduce energy consumption, such as upgrading servers, printers and lighting. We also reduced plastic usage and promoted sustainable waste management. By 2024, we had reduced our GHG emissions by 50% since our baseline in 2019.

Further reductions in our carbon footprint

In 2025, we reduced our carbon footprint by a further 5% through a range of energy-efficiency measures, including the installation of new boilers and energy-efficient lighting.

The journey continues

We offset our emissions by supporting Energizing India through the use of solar energy, a project that closely aligns with our sustainability goals and company values.

For over 7 years

Carbon neutral certified

We are proud to have achieved carbon neutrality for our warehousing and contact centre sites, every year since 2019. The BSi PAS 2060 standard is an internationally recognised certification that rewards organisations demonstrating strong performance in measuring, managing and reducing carbon emissions. By achieving and maintaining this standard, we are recognised for minimising our climate impact, advancing sustainability practices and setting an example for the industry.

ISO 14001

Managing our environmental responsibilities

ISO 14001 certification is an internationally recognised credential verifying that an organisation operates an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). Issued by independent, accredited third-party bodies, the process requires a two-stage audit, annual surveillance checks and full recertification every three years.

“We are a carbon neutral business because we know it is the right thing to do for the planet and our communities – but also because of its increasing importance for our brands and their customers.”
