Prolog is Carbon Neutral
We are a business that is actively reducing our carbon footprint, and we are delighted to have been awarded Carbon Neutral status by the Carbon Trust.
This status is awarded to businesses that are taking action on climate change year-on-year by reducing carbon emissions, water usage and waste generation.
We’ve reduced our carbon footprint through a number of projects:
- Utilising renewable energy sources.
- Installation of LED lights throughout both sites.
- Reducing packaging and, where possible, replacing plastic packaging with a sustainable alternative.
- Maximised use of recyclable materials facilitating kerbside recycling.
Carbon Neutrality Roadmap
Areas of Investment for Sustainability
- Installation of LED lights throughout the business.
- Staff training in the reduction of emissions utilising best practice for all activities they undertake.
- Reduction of the use of heating and air conditioning throughout our sites.
- Improved heat conservation.
- We have obtained Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) from our electricity supplier.
In addition to these actions, we have offset our remaining Carbon Footprint through the purchase of 349 Verified Emission Reductions (VER), saving 349 tonne of CO2 emissions from being released into the atmosphere.
The offsets procured are derived from a wind power project located in central India. The project contributes to a 100.5 MW wind farm in India supported by Orange Renewable. It consists of 67 WTGs of 1.5 MW each generating clean electricity with utilization of wind energy.
We are currently working on the next phase of our Net Zero strategy.
